Check Out Footage From Solange's Performance In Houston

On Thursday night Solange performed at the Super Bowl LIVE event blazing through a set that included "Cranes in the Sky," "F.U.B.U.," "Mad," and more. Robert Glasper also performed at the event. A few days back Solange spoke at a conference on the legacies of Prince and David Bowie at Yale University titled “Blackstar Rising & the Purple Reign.” The event Solange specifically spoke at was called “Everybody Still Wants To Fly”: Activism In Pop From Prince To Solange. Solange, who was interviewed by Professor Daphne Brooks, spoke on a wide range of topics including her album A Seat at the Table, performing, activism, art, and much more. Head here to listen to an audio recording of the conversation. At the Super Bowl Live performance Solange commented on Donald Trump's recent immigration ban. "I just wanna send some love to my people of color, my immigrants, my Mexican brothers and sisters, my Muslim brothers and sisters, and say that you belong and I love you and I stand in solidarity with you during this time," the singer said.
