Anderson .Paak Details Work With Dr. Dre and Q-Tip in Full OTHERtone Radio Interview

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Hard to imagine that Anderson .Paak's interview with Pharrell on OTHERtone Radio could somehow be more gratifying than watching the pair erupt into a Thundercat singalong. Upon arrival of the full interview, we've learned there's a whole lot more to smile about.

Throughout their near ten minute chat, .Paak and P discuss their influences (P saluting Diddy and Hov for providing him with early competition and inspiration,) and delve into .Paak's work with both Dr. Dre and Q-Tip, the fruits of which we've apparently only begun to see. Pharrell runs through some of the artists that he's currently excited about and speaks to the merits of remaining a prolific outsider, a driving force behind his generation-defining sound both as solo artist and one half of The Neptunes.

You can watch the full interview down below. .Paak, of course, is heading back out on the road this summer as the opening act for Bruno Mars' 24k Magic tour, the dates for which are listed beneath the player. Both Anderson .Paak's Malibu and his collaborative album Yes Lawd! are available on iTunes.
