Back in December we got to witness some magic on the stage as Blu united the younger generation of Cali talent (or as he calls it theNewestNEWest) for this song, “Doin’ Something.” The performance featured Pac Div, U-N-I, J*DaVeY, TiRon, and Ayomari. A few months later, the song has been liberated to the internets via PDD. This one is hard, you’ll find it on Blu’s upcoming LP, NoYork! Let’s hope there’s more music from this crew to come.

This is really dope. I honestly can’t say I’ve thought of the L.A. Riots or Rodney King in years, though that’s probably my last memory of my life in Cali before I moved to NY, can’t believe it’s been 20 years. “THURZ (1/2 of U-N-I) gives the first person perspective of the night that lead to the infamous beating of Rodney King. We saw a live performance of this song awhile back, but here’s the final CDQ of U-N-I‘s new song “Special” featuring Charlie Wilson. The track was produced by Terrace Martin, and will appear on his next project, Here My Dear, which drops tomorrow. Charlie Wilson has been making a lot of hip-hop cameos as of late, he’s a nice addition to this track – take a listen.
