Dag Savage (Johaz x Exile) really brought ‘em out for their EP release party last week in Pasadena. I’m mad I wasn’t in town for this one, but luckily, our peoples LA Stereo TV were on hand to capture all the excitement. The 16 track free release serves as the prequel to Thurz’ sophomore LP, Blood on the Canvas. After giving it one spin, I’ll say the tape is as dope (or doper) than those previous leaks would lead you to believe. Thurz had been steady droppin banger after banger off his upcoming 517 W Queen Tape for the last few weeks, but now he takes it back to his solo LP, L.A. Riot for this latest video. One of my personal favorites, “COLORS,” featuring Krondon and produced by Ro BLVD, gets the video treatment. Thurz once again works magic with director Mister Whitmore with these stunning visuals – the visual effects are very dope, check it. Thurz’ 517 W Queen Tape drops tomorrow.
