haha, bravo to the man Quelle Chris. Quelle’s posse cut “Green Eyes” featuring Tanya Morgan, Fresh Daily and Cavalier was one of my favorite joints off Niggas Is Men to begin with, and it’s now taken up a notch with some of the best visuals I’ve seen in a minute to accompany it. Quelle flips the rap game on its’ head with this new jawn that he edited, and directed (and of course adds bars too). Niggas Is Men is available in CD form now, get it via ughh.

A few months back I got a chance to listen to some new tracks from Tanya Morgan off their upcoming 6th Sense produced album, Rubber Souls, at Stadium Red Studios in Harlem. I can say without question, what I heard is some of the best Tanya Morgan music that has been made to date. The rhymes are on point as always, but 6th’s production really takes their music to new levels on this one. DJ Tara gave the people a sample of the new single at Donuts Are Forever 7 last week, and Peter Rosenberg gave it a radio premiere last night, now they give the download out to the masses with the release of the lead single, “For Real.” Rubber Souls will be out this summer.

OKP: matching you with your future hip-hop partner since Tanya Morgan. The Brooklynati duo sat down with Fuse TV recently to explain their journey thus far and mentioned meeting each other for the first time on the Okayplayer message boards. Transitioning into making music was natural for these two – Donwill used to freestyle and Von Pea, the only 80′s born person in his family, tried to be like his bigger cousins who were always listening to hip hop. The duo is still humble even though they’re on the rise, mentioning how people today don’t know how to research through music too well. “We’re surprised people know about us,” Von Pea says.
