The dude Showbiz gets busy. Leaks from his collaborative project with long-time compadre A.G. seem to be popping up every other minute, rumors of a new D.I.T.C. album are making the rounds, and now you can also cop Show’s brand new solo instrumental album. The aptly titled Still Diggin’ LP features this cut for which we shared the audio with you a few weeks ago. The video treatment includes some old-school footage as well as some heart-warming images of Showbiz, well… still diggin’!

So apparently before we get to the proper Showbiz & AG comeback album we’ve been promised with tracks like “Here & Now” and “God is 4 Us” it looks like we are going to be treated to an all-instrumental LP from the beat-rocking half of that duo. I know this because the Shogun of the Bronx just dropped this wicked instrumental “The Cloth” and artwork for the new project–apparently titled Still Diggin: Instrumentals Vol. 1 and slated to drop April 24th. I am assuming it’s called “The Cloth” because this is the raw material–the fabric, if you will–from which classics raps are made; ethereal harmonies over an evil drum beat in a hypnotizing loop of constantly-modulating polyrhythms. And I just know AG and executive producer DJ Premier are cutting up some flash three-piece gangster suits from that cloth.
