The Roots, you may have noticed, are not just all over OKP–they are literally EVERYWHERE these days. In recognition of the fact that the legendary 215 crew are like the musical Goldmann-Sachs, the hometown team at Philly360 have set about documenting the many-tentacled Roots empire in a series they call Six Degrees of The Roots. The first subject under the microscope (above) is pioneering Philly soul producer/songwriter Kenny Gamble of Gamble & Huff fame (you heard of ‘em), who speaks about his early admiration for Questlove‘s pops Lee Andrews.
