<description>Having been lucky enough to be an Alan Wilkis fan for many years, I couldn't agree more with Adam's review, and am pleased he knows AW's work well enough to put it into context.

Alan is a master of the domain of multi-instrumentalism and composition, and I agree specifically with Adam's suggestion that the constraints of the 80's electro sonic theme supported AW's quest to create not just a couple new hits, but a cohesive album.

You get the impression from listening to Alan's work as it progresses that he is indeed a student of 1) music styles (on every level of meaning) and 2) the concept *of* an album (as opposed to concept albums). It's almost like he doesn't listen to single tracks outside their context on a record.

I'm happy to see this well-deserved review on here, and encourage folks to buy a copy (or four, like me): http://wilcassettes.bigcartel.com/
