Kimber Kable or Cardas will batter Monster any day of the week and twice on Sunday. For Cans, make mine AKG, Denon, or Sennheiser any time over these over priced blasphemes. Just like car audio if you are pushing the music through an a crappy unit like a stock head unit or in this case an IPOD then it will always be crap - you need an amp and a decent DAC to create an audiophile listening experience. They actually put the beats to shame. Once you hear the DT990's you instantly forget about the Beats.
