note to DF: the 100 peeps was only early on, by the time De La came on it was prob more like 500 or 600. but i agree, it's both surprising and disappointing that the Bay didn't show up in fuller force to buy up tix.

Disappointed fan below, I was just as disappointed for the Berkeley show being canceled. However, from what I know the venue capacity is much larger in Berkeley from the one in Denver. Despite sales being well over a hundred and expecting a walk-up, it still might not have been enough. To tell you the truth, my disappointment was not in GU. It was not having more fans motivated to buy tickets in advance and sell that place out way before the day of the show to prove how much we support these artists and the music. - IllmaticYes

The Show in Berkeley was cancelled due to lack of sales. Some BS huh? At the begginning of this article they said that the Denver show had maybe 100 people or so in the venue. WTF? I was checking Ticketmaster frequently and they had almost sold out the whole orchestra level at the Berkeley Comm. Theatre including the pit. To me that seems like over 100 people right there. I also knew a grip of peeps who were planning on buying tickets at the door instead of going through Ticketmaster and paying ridiculous fees. I am just really dissapointed in Guerilla Union for backing out at the last minute after just announcing that Mos Def was added to the show about a week before. Maybe that was there way of trying to get more sales...I dunno but after reading this article it makes me even more upset because I feel Paid Dues would have got more support from Berkeley than Denver considering Summer Jam was the same night. Whatever! - Dissapointed fan
