It was the video for "Sunstar". Something about the soung caught my attention - I was not really watching all of it, so I did not fall in love with it at first, but the flow/style of the song was refreshhing - real instruments, actual words, very smooth. So I acquired his other recordings and I am in love. I feel a stirring in my spirit. I can not explain why, but his music makes me happy, I feel in love, I feel happy, I feel pain, I feel nervous. I've been playing the same songs over and over for the past couple of weeks and realized our generation (born 1979-1982) have very few classics. Our RnB is oversexualized, our HipHop is extra braggadocious, immature and/or ridled with drug references. And sometimes jazz just bores me. But Mr. Jesse Boykins III...WOW! "Tabloid", "Sunstar", "Think", "Come to My Room", 'Pantyhose", "Itis"....I'm in love with it all. How is it that he is only 23 years old? He speaks from the perspective of a grown man who has been there and done that.
