I agree with many of the comments, especially Keyser_Sose. Why doesn't anyone leave it all on the stage anymore. I think I've been guilty of it myself at times, but hey! My black a@@ ain't on TV!!! You must blow the frickin roof off!!! I don't think they were paying attention. There are very few of today's successful female/male artists who sing like GROWN A@@ MEN & WOMEN!!!!!!! I won't even mention the lyrics. You know how that goes.

I'm going to have to agree with you Jonelle. I haven't seen Maxwell in AGES..and he looked too handsome. Three words...Mmm mmm and MMMMMm.Lol. And did you see Jill Scott's performance? She tore UP Al's hit didn't she? I love her! And her dress looked fabulous on her. Girlfriend is just doing her thing and taking care of business. She kind of reminds me of Bianca.

It always seems like the artists haven't had time to really prep for these tributes...all three of the tribute performers could have blown the freakin' roof off but they seemed unsure.
Thoroughly bugged to see Maxwell hold it down with mad confidence but, yes, Al showed everybody what real showmanship is...hope they paid attention. 10
