The Art of One Mind - An innovative musical vision of two composers combining all elements of soul, jazz and hip-hop through independent verbal expressions in song. The Art of One Mind is a producer compilation combining the skills of super producers Illmind and Symbolyc One. This collaboration is the birth of a musical relationship expanding from the grimy organic sounds of Illmind’s Tri-state roots; Jersey, Philly and NYC, as well as the soulful hip-hop swing style of Texas’ own producer, S1.

As the first compilation release of Spilt Milk Da’Label, One Mind bottles all the necessary elements of hip-hop’s music, style and culture from coast-to-coast, with representation from each hip-hop region of the United States. One Mind truly focuses on the music, a rarity in today’s monotonous music money pit. Club heads will embrace tracks like "Club Aquarius" while ‘the underground’ will continue to vibe off of tracks such as "Guilty Pleasures" and "Been Gone", providing an overall hip-hop seal of approval.

One Mind features an array of music from soul to R&B to hip-hop. Artist’s features include Little Brother, Kenn Starr of The Low Budget Family, Chip-Fu (of Fu-Shnickens) Ghostface Killah (of Wu-Tang Clan) and Supastition as well as the soulful sounds of singer/songwriter Darien Brockington just to name a few. With a variety of urban music, all beat fanatics and soul kontrollaz alike will continue to buzz about this compilation for quite sometime.

Kind Words

"Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Gamble & Huff, Duke Ellington & Billy Strayhorn, Don Henley & Glenn Frey, Jay Dilla & Madlib. All dynamic duo's. S1 and Illmind continue to carry the flag bringing forth feel good music, just like the aforementioned composers. They make a brother keep 'love' alive for hip-hop..."
- Ali Shaheed Muhammad

"Who produced this track? I like that neo-underground feel. I could listen to this for a long time."
- Pete Rock on S1's production (song: "All The Way")

"Yo that's my mans Illmind. He got the Ill beats."
- Guru of Gang Starr
