Who is Kero One??

Kero One is an MC, Producer and DJ who has been crafting a major buzz in the hiphop scene. Completing a nationwide Japan tour in 2004 hosted by Jazzy Sport (known for breaking acts like Sa-Ra Creative Partners and Count Bass D) he has been receiving worldwide support by DJ's such as Questlove of The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Quantic, Giles Peterson, and DJ Mitsu The Beats.

Already releasing five 12” on his own imprint called “
plug label”, and working with artists such as hip-hop legend Grand Puba of Brand Nubian to international super-producer Quantic, Kero is now preparing the release of his first debut album called Windmills of the Soul where he blends the organic feel of live musicianship with the rawness of sample based hip hop. The album has been called “a blissfully melodic blend of hip hop and jazz that draws on the best elements of legendary beatmakers like DJ Premier and No.I.D.” by Okayplayer and been labeled “one of the most exciting albums in recent history” by The Sound Providers. Already released in Japan several months ago, it has reached #2 of 200 on the underground hip hop HMV and Tower Records lists, and held the title in the top 20 downloaded Itunes album for 3 months straight.

For the remainder of 2006, Kero One is gearing up for a UK and Japan tour, continued collaborations, and heading up his fledging label; PLUG (home to everything from Hip-Hop, to Soul, to Electronic music).
