Watch The Yeethoven Orchestra Bring Kanye West's "Blood On The Leaves" & "New Slaves" To Life

Yeethoven: An LA Orchestra Melds Kanye West's 'Yeezus' w/ Beethoven's Classic Works

As we continue to quarrel with just how good an idea it was to mash Beethoven's most readily distinguishable compositions with Kanye West's most readily industrial ones (a la Yeezus), our first post-teaser taste of the production has arrived. Saturday night, Young Musicians Foundation hosted their much-anticipated Yeethoven recital, harnessing the combined schooling of 70-plus members of the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra, with conductor, Yuga Cohler, and arranger, Stephen Feigenbaumat the helm. Today, clips of the orchestra performing "New Slaves" and "Blood On The Leaves" has surfaced for those whose interests were piqued by the very thought of such genre and generation leaping efforts.

And though these clip are far from pro quality, you need not spend any more than just a few minutes to realize that sometimes slapping an orchestra onto one of the most a-melodic records of an era doesn't exactly rear the intended results, whatever the hell they bay have been. You can, for better or worse, watch Young Musicians Foundation's Yeethoven come to life in the clip below, just don't get your hopes up, and maybe duck outta this one if it hits the road. Instead, grab yourself a copy of Kanye West's The Life OfPablo, the 2016 incarnation of Ye we deserve, on iTunes today.
