Willie Evans Jr.

Yeah, you already know the loved themed content is gonna be flooding in today. And if that first sentence confused you, clearly you haven’t looked at the calendar yet (it’s not too late to get at 1800 Flowers, I just did). Anyway, High Water Music producer, Willie Evans Jr., makes quite the return today with the release of his latest project, The Love Circle EP. After being sidelined for nearly a year after a car accident, Willie comes back better than ever with this 10 minute love-themed EP (son’s chop game is serious). “This EP tells the never ending story of relationships in instrumental form; meeting that woman who assures you everything’s going to be alright, dating, falling in love, arguments, break up, getting over her, then meeting someone new thus continuing the Love Circle.” The EP will be offered as a  free download for a limited time, so get it while you can – and get some words from Willie about the project, below.

In the midst of a nasty break up I was forced to hide in my studio from a love crazed woman wielding a machete. During those 24 hours, I pondered the cyclical nature of relationships and their tendency to slowly form the building blocks that inevitably construct our future selves. As I am not good with descriptions, I decided to express this thought in the form of a short instrumental piece. Upon my escape from the Machete Mistress (as she would later be known), I managed to save the instrumental to a hard drive. What you’re about to hear is the result of that harrowing experience and, although none of what you just read is true, the musings in this story were certainly the inspiration for the joint.
