I remember the first time I heard The Weekend, when his debut House of Balloons dropped early last year; mesmerizing and deeply emotional, Abel Tesfaye AKA The Weeknd had me and his other listeners in his grips. It’s been a year and a half since and in that relatively short span of time the lonely singer has more or less skyrocketed from the depths of under-appreciated artistry to the heights of the top 5 Billboard 200, with his recently released Trilogy.  Catch him performing House of Balloons track “Wicked Games” during his first non-American television performance on Later…with Jools Holland below.
