Watch Leonardo DiCaprio's Climate Change Documentary 'Before The Flood' Here

Buzz around Leonardo DiCaprio's climate change documentary Before The Flood has been making its rounds online, and it's available to be viewed in full online.

The documentary, which is directed by Academy Award winner Fisher Stevens (The Cove, Crazy Love), is part of a National Geographic project covering climate change. DiCaprio stars in the documentary, and interviews subjects such as President Barack Obama, Pope Francis, Sunita Narain, John Kerry and Elon Musk.

The documentary aired on National Geographic on Sunday night, and will be available to stream on YouTube for one full week.

Before a screening of the film in London in mid-October, DiCaprio explained he and Stevens' mission of the film, and the impact it had on them.

"We went to every corner of the globe to document the devastating impacts of climate change and questioned humanity's ability to reverse what maybe the most catastrophic problem mankind has ever faced," he said. "There was a lot to take on. All that we witnessed on this journey shows us that our world's climate is incredibly interconnected and that it is at urgent breaking point."

He said that he had been studying the issue for 15 years. While other climate change documentaries have moved him, he said, Before The Flood did the best job of explaining the science behind the issue in a clear, digestible way.

"We wanted to create a film that gave people a sense of urgency, that made them understand what particular things are going to solve this problem," he added. "...It's gone beyond, as we talk about in the film, simple, individual actions. We need to use our vote ... We cannot afford to have political leaders out there that do not believe in modern science or the scientific method or empirical truths."

DiCaprio, Stevens, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, James Packer, Brett Ratner and Revor Davidoski are all listed as producers on the film.
