Big Boi Jake Troth Live on Letterman

Big Boi performed his latest single, “Apple of My Eye” on the Late Show with David Letterman last night with assistance from Jake Troth, a North Carolina based singer-songwriter. The track is taken from Daddy Fat Sax’s new album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (purchase via iTunes here).

This is not the first time that Big Boi debuted a collaboration on a Late Night show this year, of course. In fact, with the new LP out, there’s quite a lot of Big Boi news these days, with him posting on tumblr recently that he has begun writing a verse to Frank Ocean‘s “Pink Matter,” which features Andre 3000 (supposed to drop next week, stay tuned). Although this is not quite an Outkast reunion, it will be refreshing to hear both men on the same track again. Big Boi also dropped a video for “In The A”, a collaboration with T.I. The clip, directed by Alexi Papalexopoulos and featuring Ludacris, can be seen after the jump.
