Vince Staples & James Blake's Hard-Hitting Collaboration "War Ready" Flips Classic Andre 3000 Verse

It isn’t every day that I get to write Andre 3000‘s name in two separate headlines within just moments of one another. Today, however, appears to be one of those days. Perhaps some you are familiar with HBO’s football world dramedy Ballers, where The Rock and Rob Cordry play financial managers for some of the biggest talents on the gridiron. Perhaps some you even know that the show’s music selections (all stellar, for that matter) by HBO regular Scott Vener (Entourage, How To Make It In America,) who dropped a bomb at the end of last night’s episode with the debut of a new track from Vince Staples and James Blake that flips 3 Stacks’ verse from “ATLiens” into an entirely new groove (though it definitely felt heavily indebted to Outkast from what this writer heard.)

In any case, the track has yet to be released in any official form, but you know how the internet works. Once in, always in. So here’s a little preview of the song we’re assuming is called “War Ready” from what is hopefully the follow-up to Vince Staples’ Summertime 06. Hold tight for updates on when and where you can hear it in its entirety.
