Not long ago the homie Gio put me on to a vocal talent from Cleveland, Ohio by the name of Lolah Brown, and since then her name seems to be popping up left and right (and rightfully so, she’s dope). She has worked background vocals for Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson, and curently with John Legend – but now she’s shining for dolo. Earlier in the year she dropped the video for “Here I Am (produced by Fly Union),” the lead single off her upcoming debut album, Black Lily (slated to drop for free in June). Check out the video above, and look for the visuals for her next single “Movin’ On,” coming soon. To go along with this vid we have a more recent cut from Lolah “Show Me,” featuring DMV buzzmaker Dunson. That indie grind ain’t easy, so if you like what you’re hearing and want to support the movement, check out her indiegogo campaign.
