Detroit MC/producer Young RJ and Chicago rapper Vice AKA Vice Verse meet up again, finding common ground in Staten Island — well sonically at least. “The Shine” finds the sometime 7th Sons going all Shao-lin on the track with a cinematic kung-fu intro and a subtly menacing soundtrack of flute and guitar running underneath. By the end RJ is even threatening to bring the pain like Wu-Tang. Also, they hate you one-line rappers.

First time I heard of this dude VICE, not bad. YOUNG RJ doing his thing on the rhymes but especially the beats. Damn can’t believe him and blackmilk were a duo as BR GUNNA, damn deadly combination. Hopefully they bring that combination back and do an album.
