Video: Young RJ “Cold World” F/ Verse

Midwest’s finest Young RJ AKA Seventh Son and Vice Verse are back at it for this next video off the Scrap Dirty/Deejay Supa/Violator Radio mixtape Seventh Son. On “Cold World” RJ flips the piano tinkle from Aretha Franklin’s “Young, Gifted & Black” (originally made infamous by DJ Premier on the loop from “92 Interlude“) into a longer, more complicated chop and fleshes it out with some “so cold in the D” street drawl. Chicago’s no joke either, apparently.

This is a good track right here. Its good to see YOUNG RJ doing his thing. Damn that SLUM VILLAGE CAMP back then had a great talented roster.
