The Weeknd‘s House of Balloons contains some of the best songs I’ve heard all year (I personally can’t say the same for Thursday), so I’m glad to see it he took it back to HOB to release this new video “The Knowing.” Even better news is that he let director Mikael Colombu take the reigns for the visuals (this dude does amazing work). So what we end up with is a great song with a far (read: faaaar) out there video live from planet Ethio X set in 16311 A.D. Check the vid above and interpret it as you will.

This video is beautifully artistic. Mikael Colombu always comes through visually. The Weekend’s album has been one of go to albums as of late.
Omg. Some guy posted this video on his facebook wall clearly in reference to me. Let me just say: The reason these days why men supposedly cannot find a “good woman” is because they listen to emo shit like this. What happened to the days when men listened to Marvin Gaye to soothe their woes? Those songs were about men who treated their women well, loved them with all their heart, and THEN the woman did some spiteful shit. Nowadays, men treat good women like garbage because they think it’s cool and then when we finally accumulate the sense to move on, you men go listen to The Weeknd and feel sorry for yourselves. Let me tell you something – it’s not a heart you men need, it’s a pair of fucking balls. Learn to take responsibility for your own actions and you won’t need to melt your brain cells with this garbage! smh
