Gutter Rainbows is the gift that keeps on giving, yo. After the aftershock that was the official video for “Uh Oh” comes the after-aftershock: this extended version with dialogue and non-musical interludes that make more sense of all the imagery (I’m not saying it is totally linear, but it makes more sense).

Here’s a few things I like: I like the fact that even though they don’t have a coordinated plan, Talib Kweli and Jean Grae have  matching blue ape-masks just in case they need to do a B&E. I like the fact that even though Grae is doing a B&E, she is still rocking dangly jewelry and waist-bangles. Also I like the part where he says: “we’ll wait while you finish being wack.” Gutter Rainbows is out now and the next Kweli joint Prisoner of Conscious, is due in November.
