Video: Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, R. Kelly & More Perform at Whitney Houston's Homegoing

As was only to be expected, the funeral services held for Whitney Houston in  NJ on Saturday were an emotionally charged affair and produced an incredible concentration of musical greats under the vaulted roof of the New Hope Baptist church in Newark as her mentors, peers and protéges gathered to pay tribute and mourn the legendary singer's untimely passing. After an eloquent and heartfelt eulogy from Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys performed a note-perfect version of "Send Me An Angel" (above) while an emotional R. Kelly sang "I Look to You" (below). The highlight for many was a personalized version of "Ribbon in the Sky" contributed by Motown legend Stevie Wonder, who prefaced his performance with these words: “I want to just stop and give all praise to God for just allowing me to be in life at the same time as Whitney” (after the jump). Notably absent were Queen of Soul (and Houston's godmother) Aretha Franklin who released a statement that shew was unable to attend because of 'leg spasms' and ex-husband Bobby Brown, who came  with a large group but left early, saying later that he felt he and his guests were treated poorly.
