Video: Shabazz Palaces Live in NYC

"We got like a few secret weapons that's on the live performance that's not on the album..." So says Ishmael Butler and that quote kind of sums up what's dope about Shabazz Palaces and this episode of PFTV, who caught up with the Palaces at their recent SOBs show here in NY. More than any of the other rap dudes incorporating electronic weirdness into their music (looking at you, Throne), the Palaceers seem serious about developing a live electro-acoustic experiment to complement the studio wizardry. Which makes their live sets and radio appearances a pleasure to watch in themselves, rather than a pretext for external spectacle. Peep game.
