Although there are singers with a wider range of tone and subject matter (think Jill Scott or India.Arie), Sade does have a mystique that very few singers can maintain. Although ‘Lovers Rock’ is the album that made me fall in love with her, I enjoyed ‘Soldier of Love’ and think ‘Skin,’ in particular, is the sexiest breakup song. The drum and the chords on that tune ALWAYS make me want to move.
