Video Premiere: Union x Talib Kweli “Time Leak”

World Premiere! Talib Kweli joins Parisian electronic/hip-hop duo Union on this piece of musical science fiction called “Time Leak.”  Members OJ & Gold have been making some analog electronic noise in the French hip-hop scene for a minute and are now the newest signing to Fat Beats records. If this Moebius-inspired video and Dilla/Herbie Hancock-inspired sound are any indication, they are serious about invading the US music scene as well, and then implanting a chip in its brain to teach it future-French. To that end they have pressed “Time Leak” up on blue, triangular 7″ vinyl (<–I am not making this up. You don’t have to buy it, but you have to see it.) and preparing to drop a full-length called Analogtronics–and featuring Elzhi, MF Doom & Guilty Simpson–early 2012. In fact, they are so serious, this is actually a double premiere because you can stream the Damu the Fudgemunk remix of “Time Leak” after the jump. The remix is one of two included on the 4-track digital single of “Time Leak,” on iTunes now.
