Video Premiere: DJ Shadow x Little Dragon “Scale It Back”

DJ Shadow and Little Dragon‘s brilliant collabo “Scale It Back” gets an equally brilliant (almost) one-take video in this OKP world premiere (!). Sadly LD’s Yukimi Nagano is nowhere visible but this rainy day art project from visual maestros Ewan Jones Morris & Casey Raymond is still a refreshing change from the current crop of low-budge, samey-lookin’ videos and comes with an added bonus. If you concentrate on connecting the images (hummingbird being eaten by a giant snake, hitting a tambourine, etc) to the playing cards that “Memory Man” Ben Pridmore is putting on the table, you will develop a photographic memory and can probably win millions in Vegas on some Rain Man-type shit. And then Yukimi will be looking for YOU. Shadow’s LP The Less You Know, The Better is out now, go buy it and start turning your life around.

This is a really good sounding track. The video is definitely unique. Kept me watching for some reason. I cant wait to see Dj Shadow live when he comes back around my area!
