Ok we tweeted last week that Lauryn Hill pushed the celebration of Bob Marley week to its peak with her live rendition of “Could You Be Loved” but we may have spoke too soon, because then black & white American Lenny Kravitz knocked it out the stadium with this cover of “Roots, Rock, Reggae,” looking like he just stepped off a plane from Addis Abbaba with his aviators and headscarf. In Lauryn’s defense, Lenny only had to bring the rock and reggae cause The Roots came pre-installed. On a side note, I can’t believe I just started off a post in remembrance of the hon. Robert Nesta Marley with the phrase ‘we tweeted’ –oh god what has the world come to. Happy Monday, y’all.

I had almost given up on Lenny.. It’s been a while since I could relate to what he has been putting out. But he is on fire with this cover! It reminded me of why I fell in love with him in the first place.
