Quantcast

This high-energy performance of “Doo-Wop (That Thing)” by the inimitable Lauryn Hill was aired last night by our man on the late night scene, Jimmy Fallon — although, going on wardrobe alone, Jimmy clearly taped this song during Lauryn’s epic set for Bob Marley week and then kept it in the chamber until we weren’t looking. Which makes sense–if you get a unicorn into a photo studio, you’re not gonna take just one picture. You’re going to want to take at least three. On the other hand, maybe this was taped yesterday and dooky gold chain, floral dress, neo-dashiki and cleopatra earrings are just Lauryn’s everyday, uniform-game these days. Either way, you can catch the unicorn yourself at Lauryn’s headlining performances for the Rock The Bells tour at the end of the summer (details here.)

“if you get a unicorn into a photo studio, you’re not gonna take just one picture” – Great analogy.

Awesome, I have not seen much of Lauren Hill in many years! I truly appreciate this video! Thank you!…hopefully the rumors are not true, and she is not over the hill (no pun intended).
