Video: Jill Scott “Shame” featuring Eve

It’s coming, it’s coming, it’s coming…it’s here! Jill Scott has unveiled the much-buzzed video for “Shame” and it is everything that the various leaks and behind-the-scenes snippets promised, from a Black Thought freestyle intro to the Special Ed shout-out on the fadeout. Eve killing her verse in jingling baby earrings, this we expected. Likewise, the starring role accorded the gymnasium of the Cecil B. Moore rec center in North Philly, where Ms. Scott basically grew up, ram-packed with a who’s who of illadelphians. The levitating horn players, though, was a nice surprise.

The video was OKay but I have to say, I was VERY disappointed in Jill as far as the styling of the big girls. Jill out of all people should know, the plus size backup singer could have been styled way better than that. There are so many up and coming to establish stylist who specialize is plus size. Big girls have curves too and it was not shown in the best light at all. Is this your idea of tapping into the weather girls style of dress? Just disappointed Jill Oh, and this is not to take away the hip-hop aspect you were going for with the Roots, Eve and I guess Special Ed. Trust, I’m not haten’ on the sista. I love Jill Scott and all the work she have done.
