This past Summer, The Roots crew’s own Dice Raw dropped the first part of his The Greatest Rapper Never trilogy, Preservation. Today, Dice hits us with the visuals for my personal favorite song from the release, the Rick Friedrich produced “100.” I’d let this one bump about 100 times (at least). Video directed by Spike Jordan. The next installment of GRN is coming soon – the first single, “Illest” should be coming any day now. And of course, you can hear Dice’s work all over The Roots’ upcoming album, Undun (12/6 – but you knew that already).

Dude is sick, consistent, worthy of standing next to Thought and rocking albums. Always underrated, seriously responsible for more of the Root’s amazing output than people seem to recognize.

dice raw is dope, but he needs better beats. his first album sucked because of the “fisher price my first beats” he used. this is okay. he needs to do a mixtape rapping over other, already used, beats
