Video: Common x Stevie Wonder Live in L.A.

Watch out. In addition to slowly, reluctantly getting around to maybe declaring a rap beef, Common and Drake might now also be fighting over Stevie Wonder. Young Drizzy got the Wonder co-sign when he brought Stevie out at Toronto’s OVO fest back in the summer–and returned the favor by joining the all-star cast of his House Full of Toys charity event in Los Angeles last week. So far, so good. But the plot thickened at Com’s sold-out show at The House of Blues in L.A. last night when he also brought out Mr. Wonder for a spontaneous collaboration onstage which turned into another great, extended freestyle from Com (in spite of the fact that he starts off a little slow. He actually rhymes ‘know it’ with ‘poet’ on the opening couplet–watch above). So is the musical genius of all geniuses being reduced to a pawn in this cold war? Or will he step in at some point and Louis Farrakhan this situation?
