Rock The Bells is just two days away here in NYC, and they’re going extra hard with the promo this year. We’ve heard Nas, Lauryn Hill, and Raekwon speak on each of their best albums which they will be performing at RTB, now it’s time to hear from our man Common. Unlike the aforementioned artists, Com won’t be performing his debut album, he’ll be getting into his sixth, Be, in its’ entirety. Watch the latest Reebok vid as Com and his beard discuss the creation of Be.

I personally feel that the album would of been a hell of alot better if the studio version of The Food was on here instead of the live version it kind of messed the flow of the flow of the album does anybody else feel that way too?

The live version just had so much more energy compared to the original, though. I don’t feel too much mistep in flow through the album.

  • BD

The original version was no where near as energetic or heartfelt as the live version. Great decision

dj crossfader – i thought that the first listen i gave be. but then i listened to the studio version and i must agree w/ dynamik & bd, the live version sequenced between chi-city & real ppl was perfect. took like 2, maybe 3 listens and i was like, yeah, no doubt be was and still is timeless, classic!
