Chromeo and OKP-fam-for-life Solange Knowles popped by the set of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to bless the world with this live rendition of their remix collabo “When the Night Falls”–which sounds like Laura Branigan and Billy Ocean having sex on top of a Prophet-5 synthesizer. While The Pointer Sisters watch. In a good way. Some highlights: 1) every female audience-member experienced an immaculate conception. 2) P-Thugg seriously channeling Chandler Jarrell with his hat game, even as he channels Zapp on the talk-box.

I haven’t heard music this good in 20 FRIGGIN YEARS!..but now I know their influences are Hall & Oats..and other great funky musicians of the day. I use the term MUSICIANS and not PERFORMERS..because it’s great when you can combine the two..but let’s not be disillusion by BOY BANDS or CORPORATE performers like Brittany Spears. These are the SOULESS performers of the day. Chromeo represents a connection that was dropped in the mid 80s..and the American stupid public bought into the corporate crap. Chromeo is re-linking us with the GOOD SHIT!. SO Pay attention!! immature ears!
