Video: Beastie Boys “Fight For Your Right” Revisited

You might have seen the cameo-crazy music video for the new Beastie Boys jawn “Make Some Noise” which debuted yesterday but the sun rose this morning on the full director’s cut of the Fight for Your Right Revisited short film from which it was taken. It’s pointless to try and sum up all the  hilarity that ensues (or name all the Hollywood walk-ons) but let’s just say the emotional core of this movie is Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride stepping into the Beasties’ 1986 juvenile delinquent personas via Delorean time machine and doing it every which way but wiffle-ball. Let’s also just say this shit is the anti-depressor. If this is any indication the release of their new LP Hot Sauce Committee Part II on May 3rd is going to be an event. We join our heroes as they exit a houseparty that involved pie-throwing and sledgehammering TVs…

this was prob the best approach to shed some light on anyone who looks at music with the attitude of “they’re not like they used to be. they suck now”

This shit was awesome. The cameos were retarded. And the music was refreshing as hell.

I guess I hear what you’re saying Dave. They did seem to be parodying their debauched past reputation. At first I was like ‘this is some corny shit only white boys get away with and gets called art’ But I see the satire.
