Who would ever think that Utah, home to the NBA playoff bound Jazz, would be a hotbed for hip-hop?

A: James The Mormon

A hidden jewel amongst all the schlub you’ll find on the internets these days, this 20-something-year-old MC has empowered his situation through sheer ingenuity. James had done something that most Top 40 artists have rarely accomplished: debut an album at #1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop / Rap charts.

That project, I’m Not A Rapper, remained at the top spot until Drake released Views From The 6 on Apr. 26, 2016. Now, this celebrated act links up with Taylor Bennett to unveil his first national single, “Holiday,” which showers our eyes with some truly beautiful visuals made to inspire the mind + heart.

James The Mormon and the XXL 2017 Freshman Class prospect pay homage to the Windy City, as the video serves as a thank you to Taylor Bennett from James The Mormon for the dope collaboration.
