If you happen to be in or around the East Side of Cleveland, Ohio, please stay indoors and do not, absolutely do not, open your door for anyone who is not family.
37-year-old Steve Stephens, who goes by the name Stevie Steve on Facebook, is on the loose throughout the city after broadcasting a killing of an elderly, 78-year-old man on Facebook Live via 635 East 93rd Street.
The gunman has claimed to have killed several other people, but the police have only confirmed one shooting death. The local news is reporting that he is still on the loose and that he is armed and extremely dangerous. Described as 6-foot-1, 244 pounds and bald with a full beard. He is wearing a dark blue and gray- or black-striped polo shirt and believed to be driving a white- or cream-colored vehicle, according to police.
With the city on high alert, the social streets of those who have friends or family in Cleveland are in a state of emergency while police are swarming the area trying to find Steve Stephens before he takes more lives.
From what we’ve learned so far, Stephens blamed the shootings on a woman, who appears to have been his girlfriend. “Three years I spent with this b***h … I wish we never met,” he wrote on his Facebook page. In the video where he shows himself killing an elderly man, which we will not show here, he asks the victim to say his ex-girlfriend’s name before shooting him. “She’s the reason this is about to happen to you,” he says.
A confessional video finds Stephens calling his friends and his mother trying to detail the issues he’s had over he past year. “People would come to me with their problems, I would deal with my problems every day. When it comes to my problems, nobody gives a f**k. It’s like I am always the bad guy, no matter what the f**k I do, people always making it out on me. Innocent people about to die today. I’m going to try and kill as many people as I can and be on death row or whatever the case may be. I just don’t give a f**k no more.”
The FBI is assisting Cleveland police in the investigation.
Please, please, please stay in doors and stay safe while this insanity is happening, Cleveland.
