Tyler, The Creator has given fans reason to believe that the long-awaited EarlWolf LP may never see the light of day. A recent response to a question on his Spring.me account about whether his decision to step away from the project was true, found Tyler making his disinterest in the joint project with his Odd Future cohort Earl Sweatshirt pretty plain:
im serious. i dont want to do it anymore and to be honest it will never live up to the expectations of people that really want it. not that that really matters, but, im not in the mindframe to do a whole album of that shit. i dont want to do it. maybe one day when i dont want to make clothing and furniture and gay a** fruity music about lakes and shit, ill get back around to hard hitting raps, but the way things are looking, its only gonna get worse until i turn full f**.
Tyler's statement on the project contradicts Earl Sweatshirt's prior statements about the project, which gave fans reason to believe that it would indeed come to fruition sometime soon.
