TLC lit up the stage on Sunday night with a performance of “Waterfalls” at the 2013 American Music Awards. Their performance featuring Lil Mama was an obvious highlight of the annual broadcast as a photo of Left-Eye hovered over the stage, bringing the crowd to their feet to applaud the legendary trio. The show – broadcast from L.A.’s Nokia Theatre – also featured sets from Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar & more. JT took it back to his Tennessee roots with a performance of “Drink You Away” from The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 that paid tribute to country music. Lady Gaga hit the stage with R. Kelly for a performance of “Do What U Want” that found the pair repurposing the presidential furniture. Kendrick Lamar kept the crowd on their feet with his performance of “Swimming Pools” (Drank) and “Poetic Justice” featuring TDE labelmate SZA. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were beamed in live from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, where they performed “Can’t Hold Us.” Check the footage below to peep a selection of the performances from the 2013 AMA’s.
