Watch Tinashe Perform "Player" Live 'The Tonight Show'

In the past year, Tinashe has carved out a space for herself as the modern princess of radio-ready R&B who's impossible to ignore. Thanks to a stream of big tent mega-singles like "All Hands On Deck," "Party Favors" and "Player," the 22-year-old Californian has exploded on to stages and screens far greater than even her most ardent 2014 superstars could have anticipated. Still, with her mixtape Amethyst and previous LP Aquarius still spinning frequently at the OKP office, it's always been apparent that pop isn't the only thing on Tinashe's mind--it's just what's working (very) well for her at the moment.

And it sure worked during her performance of "Player" live on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Backed by her own band (sorry, Roots) and a troupe of highly skilled, choreographed dancers, Tinashe shimmied and shone through the performance, displaying that her dance routines are not just an added bonus to her work but rather a cornerstone. "Player" itself is a cut so straightforward and infectious that it might finally dethrone "Post to B" as our mainstream R&B guilty pleasure of the year. But then, what's so wrong about it? Watch the performance below and stay on the up and up for more from Tinashe.
