Tiara Thomas Mary Jane Video
Midwestern singer, songwriter and producer Tiara Thomas has just dropped off a most impressive and action-packed new video for "Mary Jane," one of the standout track on her Up In Smoke EP, which dropped only two weeks ago and has still been getting very steady rotation around the Okayplayer office. In the clip, we watch Thomas appear as a kind of apparition to a group of exquisitely stoned guys, selling magic spray on TV and shrinking down to fit in a minuscule Mustang. Eventually she breaks the televisual barrier, leaping out of the static and into the smoke to briefly vibe with the potheads who have summoned her to life. Not much of it makes sense, but it sure is fun, and that seems quite appropriate.
With appearances on MTV's Girl Code already under her belt, along with notched collaborations with Wale, Fat Joe, and Rico Love, Ms. Thomas has proved that she can easily play well with others, but this new video has her starring in the lead role, and she positively nails it.
