This Is The Dope
A few weeks back, we got an intro to the aptly named St. Louis trio, This Is The Dope, via their single "3013." The track was just the beginning, as they just released their self-titled EP today. The project has Black Spade, Teresajenee and Indiana Rome joining forces and all handling vocal and production duties throughout the 5-track audio expedition (or a "space trap odyssey through afro-futurism"). The project started with the three artists coming together to make a concept beat tape, with each of the three collaborating and co-producing throughout. The outcome was so strong that they couldn't resist adding vocals to the tracks, which turned into the EP we present you, below. "3013" was tight, but honestly, there are a few joints much hotter on here ("MUSE" is my shit). And lucky for us, with this OKP premiere you can hear them all in their entirety. Along with digital format (via iTunes) the EP is also available as limited edition double 7" vinyl with handmade screen-printed artwork via Recasto.
