Video: The Weeknd, "Valerie" [Preview]

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

The Weeknd is good at a couple of things: singing whole songs in a rugged and raw falsetto; having a major-label debut with a -- not one, not two, but -- THREE-disc album, Trilogy; and being a sonic tease.

Ever since we found out about it, fans have been anxiously anticipating The Weeknd's Universal Republic debut, set for release November 13. Rather than sympathize with his aficionados, The Weeknd (or his manager, his publicist -- someone!) prefers to pull on their heartstrings by releasing the shortest snippets of songs and videos man has ever seen.

Case in point: this 26-second preview of "Valerie," a bonus track ballad off the upcoming album's second disc, Thursday. "Valerie" continues to play with The Weeknd's motif of balloons, featuring a beauty queen crying in the midst of popping balloons and flashing lights. And... that's it. Along with The Weeknd going in, belting out some "Ohs," that's all we get.

Set your impatient little heart at ease by pre-ordering The Trilogy on iTunes today. And don't be afraid to tease your eyes and ears some more by revisiting some of our previous coverage of the album.
