The Weeknd Unveils Nabil-Helmed Artwork For New Album 'STARBOY'

In case you were wondering where Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye disappeared to in 2016, it appears the Toronto singer has been hard at work readying a new album. A teaser for an alleged Daft Punk collaboration surfaced then vanished like the singer himself. But now it's official: The Weeknd has announced his fourth studio album STARBOY, releasing the cover art for the record via Twitter this morning, photographed by the visionary, Nabil.

His Beauty Behind The Madness LP found Tesfaye reaching chart supremacy, anchored by the hit singles "Can't Feel My Face" and "Earned It," both bearing, like much of the album , a heavy contribution from nineties pop god Max Martin. It was released almost exactly one year ago, and if his recent tweets of fall leaves and an hourglass are any indication, we could very well have the new album by the season's end. Until then, all we have is a very compelling piece of cover art for the album, already looking like an easy prospect for Marvel's variant hip-hop covers campaign. Keep an eye on us and an ear to the ground as we await the return of The Weeknd in the very near future.
