The multi-talented and diverse The New Royales (DJ Khalil x Chin x Liz Rodrigues x Erik Alcock) have recently decided to pay homage to Jefferson Airplane by covering their original "Today" for their forthcoming mixtape, Freedom's For The Brave. The band isn't only taking their hats off to Airplane with this track, but also to Tom Scott's cover and the classic hip-hop track that sampled it “They Reminisce Over You” by legends Pete Rock and CL Smooth (Remember the pretty intense controversy over Lupe Fiasco reusing "T.R.O.Y" back in May?). A true classic that many have honored, stream below to get the Royales' tribute.
