Buncha blogs posted video yesterday of Talib Kweli “previewing” a new song featuring Kendrick Lamar and Curren$y live in Seattle (after the jump)–even though a version of the track, called “Push Thru,” was apparently streamable and available for purchase on beatport since late 2011. Audio posts with various kinds of conflicting versions and effed up metadata inevitably followed and in response Kweli posted the track on his tumblr just after midnight last night under the header: The ONLY true version of “Push Thru” ft Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar. In fact to get things straight here is exactly what he said:
The ONLY true version of Push Thru ft Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar, produced by Symbolic One, with Kendrick’s correct verse. New, from my album Prisoner of Conscious, out October on Blacksmith/EMI. Follow my lead. Be on the look out for my mixtape with Z-Trip, Attack The Block! Soon come. Cheers!Artist Talib Kweli ft. Currensy and Kendrick LamarTitle Push ThruAlbum POC
