We really should have found a way to mention that Black Milk's album,Tronic, hit shelves yesterday. After one listen, Tronic is already on my top albums of the year list. Luckily the homie Sweeney put together this mix that gives us a reason to mention Milk again today, as well as a few other MC's with albums out now or coming out soon. The mix features Black Milk, Elzhi, Madvillain, Flying Lotus, Pharcyde, Exile, and more. So download CDRADIO TWO, and be sure to check for these artists' respective albums when they drop.
As if you needed further incentive to cop Jake One's White Van Music, here's another sample. Elzhi and Royce Da 5'9" team up for this song "Glow" off of Jake's album. Not only is this making me wanna go get Jake's album even more when it drops on October 7th, but it has me further anticipating that Elzhi and Royce collabo album.
There are a few other leaks off the album floating around. I think we've given you more than enough heat off this one to get you in the record stores on the 7th to hear the rest of the album.
Sent over by Sweeney, we have another banger from one of the (if not the) nicest from The D. Elzhi and Black Milk hook up for this joint "Colors" off of Elzhi's upcoming solo debut The Preface. These two are easily some of the most underrated in the game. Go cop The Preface on Fat Beats Records August 12th when it drops.
We're still over here bumpin' music from Elzhi's Euro Pass, and this weekend we get some new music from the man off his upcoming album. The song is called "The Leak," and it features the lovely Ayah and was produced by Black Milk. Elzhi's debut solo album, The Preface, drops August 12th. The above video is of Elzhi performing two joints off of Euro Pass live, "Motown 25" and "That's That One."
It appears that the Detroit collaboration from yesterday was no one time thing. Royce Da 5'9 confirmed with hhg that an LP with him and Elzhi is in the works. Royce says it will take some time but is a definite at this point. All true fans of hip hop should be praying this album does come to fruition.
Here’s a collabo I've been dying to hear for a long time, three of Detroit's finest Elzhi, Royce Da 5'9, and Black Milk. Off of Elzhi’s new album Europass we have "Motown 25" produced by Milk. The lyrical display in this one is nothing short of insane, go get that Europass album there’s plenty more heat on it.
